Cosplay events are a central feature of our programming, and include an on-stage Cosplay Masquerade, an off-stage Hall Cosplay Contest, and various meetups, workshops, and photoshoots throughout the weekend.

The Anime USA Masquerade is a celebration of cosplay performance and craftsmanship. Whether you’re performing a skit or showing off your handmade costume in a spotlight, these
rules will help ensure everything runs smoothly.
Craftsmanship Competition
Love to sew? Build props? Make things glow?
The Anime USA Craftsmanship Competition is for you! This is where cosplayers and costumers come together to showcase their skills in a one-on-one judging session. Whether you’re a fabricator, seamstress, tailor, or creator, you’ll have the chance to bring beloved characters — or original designs — to life.
Participants can also join the Masquerade Fashion Show to display their hard work on stage (optional, but awards will be announced there).
Anime USA is Looking for Cosplay Judges!
Do you love cosplay and have an eye for detail? Anime USA is seeking experienced, passionate, and fair-minded individuals to join our Cosplay Judging Panel!
What we’re looking for:
Strong knowledge of cosplay craftsmanship, performance, or both Previous judging or competition experience is a big plus (but not required) Ability to give constructive, encouraging feedback to participants A positive, professional attitude and respect for all cosplayers
What you’ll do:
Judge entries for our Cosplay Craftsmanship Contest and/or Masquerade Collaborate with fellow judges to select winners Help create a supportive and inspiring experience for our cosplay community
