Yes, a valid badge is required for entry. Badges must be worn at all times while attending Anime USA. You can register for a badge here: https://animeusaregistration.org

If you lose your badge during the convention, please check Lost & Found at the Public Safety area. If it is not recovered, you will need to purchase a replacement badge.
No—your badge grants access to all events throughout the weekend, including guest performances (unless otherwise noted). The exception to this is the guest meet and greet that is specific to Sponsor level members only.
To attend 18+ events, you must present a valid government-issued ID and obtain an 18+ wristband when picking up your badge.
