Special effects makeup artist, creature creator and audio/visual designer Ralph Lambiase is the owner and principal artist of The Evocative Workshop, a Long Island, NY special effects arts studio. He studied industrial design, special effects makeup and fabrication at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. Ralph has worked in the film and television industries over the past two decades with clients and partnerships such as Kevin Smith’s View Askew Productions, Verizon FiOS, MTV, Lionsgate Films, KNB Effects (The Walking Dead Escape), AFX Studios (American Horror Story), Gotham (TV series), Empire Effects (The Brawl in Cell Block 99) and Broken Lizard Films, creators of camp classics Super Troopers and Club Dread.
Ralph was assistant creative director for KMGI.com, a premier internet streaming advertising production company. Ralph has designed a nationally recognized war memorial honoring POWs/MIAs in Eisenhower Park, Nassau County, NY. He is a member in good standing of The Association of Lifecasters International and the Digital Cinema Society and served for over 10 years as co-chairman of the Long Island Motion Picture Arts Center and Museum, a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to motion picture arts education and preservation of cinema history on Long Island.
Ralph is also a New York State licensed career school teacher having taught special effects makeup and lab techniques at Make-up Designory in New York City. Currently, he is developing curriculum with Metropolitan Institute of Design in Syosset, New York. Ralph is preparing and offering effects and art workshops, as well as, conducting speaking engagements.
